Complaints or Frustrations with WGU?
For some of the newer students who may not know this, you are asked to fill out a survey on WGU about every 6 months. If you have a particular complaint or frustration, you can voice those on the survey form.
All in all, I have been extremely happy with WGU, but there are a couple of little things that bug me. Not being able to see exactly which questions I get wrong on the pre-assessments is one of them. TaskStream is another. Dana Currently Working On: RRT2, QKT2, CXV2 What's left: RKT2, SRT2, QDT2, RMT2, ITT2, IUT2 1st TExES Exam scheduled for 3/17. |

RE: Complaints or Frustrations with WGU?
Thanks for the 'heads up' Dana. I will honestly and accurately complete their surveys. So far, I have no complaints for the enrollment process.

RE: Complaints or Frustrations with WGU?
I just did the survey this evening. I appreciate that they ask for our feedback. I love WGU and recommend it to everyone. That being said, it's not perfect. I only have a couple of gripes.
The task instructions - if you have to have a course mentor's 4 page handout and a webconference to know what they want - it might be time to rewrite the damned instructions. As a follow up to that - if we don't know - the graders don't know and then they grade us with some skewed perspective and make me 'revise' the same question 3 times, when 1) it's asking my thoughts so how can it be wrong 2) and they only returned it because I didn't put "My thinking process was" in front of my explanation. My only other complaint is that there are times when you really need a course mentor and they don't respond quick enough. I needed help on a task and it took me 24 hours to get an email response then had to wait 3 days to have a phone conversation. When audits are coming, no one should have to wait 4 days to talk to someone for help. Most of the time, the support is great and the learning resources are wonderful. The ability to learn this much in a short time is phenomenal. I really don't think there is a better educational option out there! Wow Denise, mine was very similar to that! I mentioned the whole 'thinking process' crap. I also mentioned the time it takes to get a response from a course mentor. There was a post on the math program boards, I kid you not, the course mentor replied 3 MONTHS later. A little late there. RE: Complaints or Frustrations with WGU?
I've already completed the Bachelor of Science in Business Management here at WGU, but I was wondering did anybody else notice that some of the questions on the objective exams were not in the learning resources/study material? It wasn't an issue that was a major one, however, I did notice it a couple of times.
WGU has been great to me though, it saved my life enabling me to get back into school and get my life together back in 2008. I was able to get into my career working full time in finance, finish my first bachelors at University of Michigan, second bachelors here at WGU and I'm just a couple courses away from completing the MBA here at WGU as well.
